We're Not Here To Sell You On Getting A Divorce! 

Sounds odd doesn't it.  Well, it's true.  Here's why:
 
             WE JUST WANT TO SELL YOU ON USING OUR SERVICES IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DECIDED TO GET A DIVORCE!

When it's all said - It needs to be all done!  This may sound cold to someone, but if you think about it for minute, you'll realize it's true.  Just ask yourself this:  "After all we've said and done, Has it made the marriage work?"  Obviously not, or you wouldn't be here now!  So, the truth of the statement is self evident!

If you're through crying and trying the healthiest thing for you, and, truthfully for your spouse and, if there any - your children too, is to try do an uncontested divorce. 

Obviously, you and your spouse probably don't see eye to eye on most things.  Although it may not seem so at moment, if you can put aside your differences to try to come to an understanding of fairly dividing things up and each of you getting a FRESH START, you'll both be better for the effort.  And, if there are children of the marriage, they will be too!

Oops!  On the subject of children, just little helpful insight:

Helping children deal with a divorce situation is a book itself, so, we won't pretend to give you a short answer on that subject.  But, don't think for a minute that they don't realize that somethings not right between their parents when some people say they're staying together for the sake of the kids - that's generally not the case and it's generally not in the kid's best interest.   Children can feel the tension and distance between the parents and that generally makes them feel more nervous and rebellious than if the parents sat down TOGETHER and talked to them explaining that they needed to make some changes for everyones sake - including theirs ( the children). 

This step involves both parents, together, and maybe at subsequent times when each parent is alone with the children.  It's not a one time reassurance that the children need.  Both parents should reassure the children that both parents love them and that both are going to stay involved in their lives and activities.  Then the parent's should do it - Stay involved in the children's lives!  That's all we've got to say on that subject.

I think that when two people make a commitment they should try to make things work.  According to my Christian belief system, I think folks should pray about it - and try to work it out - If It's God's Will.  It may not be his will, and, it may not work out.  God did provide for Divorce when he gave the Laws to Moses in the Old Testament so he knew in advance that things wouldn't always work out.

So, does getting a divorce make you an outcast?  Not from what I can see - remember, God Gave Moses the laws to allow divorce, and, if he chooses not mend your marriage for whatever reason, I'm sure that he has the power to forgive you for any fault that you may have had in the marriage.  Humm, Maybe, we should pray for guidance next time BEFORE WE MARRY SOMEONE?
